We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season. Throughout the end of December, the Toro Matcha team traveled to Japan, so we wanted to share some of the highlights with you!
Our journey to a matcha farm in Japan
We started our journey in the region of Uji near Kyoto where we met with our Matcha supplier to strengthen our partnership. It’s a family farm that has been operating for three generations, specializing in Organic tea harvest! The family was kind enough to let us sample several of their Matcha teas.
The current farm owner’s father who ran the company for over 20 years said that he drinks Matcha every day for as long as he can remember, and attributes his terrific physical and cognitive health to it.
. . .
“It was such a productive and inspirational meeting, and we are very excited to continue working together with this family to strengthen our partnership.”

Combining Business with Leisure
As we were already in Japan for business, we prolonged our stay to celebrate the holidays there. This included a several day stay in Tokyo where we immersed into the hustle and bustle of the Japanese culture, a short trip to Hakone to see the natural beauty of Japan, and a visit to Ilaria’s family.
. . .
“Throughout this trip we were reminded of how the idea of Toro Matcha was born, not so long ago. Upon returning back to Montreal, we are more excited than ever to continue to improve Toro Matcha and provide you with better energy.”
. . .
We’ve accumulated a lot of feedback from everyone over the past several months and will be making some adjustments to Toro Matcha accordingly. So stay tuned for an official release of our new and improved Toro Matcha.
